Duo arrested with 754 grams of high-grade marijuana

Deputies arrested two people today after they found narcotics, cash and ammunition while executing a search warrant in East Naples.

Collier County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Bureau detectives, with assistance from members of the Special Response Bureau and Special Enforcement Team, executed a narcotics search warrant at 5213 Mitchell St.

Detectives discovered approximately 15.2 grams of cocaine; approximately 754 grams of high-grade marijuana; 170 grams of marijuana wax; and marijuana edible cookies and brownies. They also found a digital scale with drug residue; multiple small plastic bags commonly used to package narcotics; more than $6,000 cash and five shotgun shells. The cocaine and marijuana was packaged for sale.

Deputies arrested two people living at the residence on multiple felony charges. Joseph Lee Amador Jr., 28, and Virginia Lopez, 42, are both charged with possession with intent to sell marijuana over 20 grams; possession with intent to sell cocaine; possession of synthetic marijuana; and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

Amador is also charged with possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.
